Street Level Outreach

The Street Level Outreach Program is dedicated to engaging with unhoused individuals directly in their environments, addressing their immediate needs, and connecting them to resources aimed at ending their homelessness. This initiative collaborates closely with the City, County, and local municipalities to provide comprehensive support and services.

Key Components:

  • Direct Engagement: Outreach teams actively seek out and build relationships with unhoused individuals, offering compassionate and non-judgmental support.
  • Immediate Needs Assistance: Providing essential items such as food, clothing, hygiene products, and community housing assessments and referrals.
  • Resource Connection: Linking individuals to shelters, housing programs, mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and medical care.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Working in partnership with local government agencies, and community organizations to ensure a coordinated and effective response.
  • Advocacy and Support: Advocating for the rights and needs of the unhoused population, while offering ongoing support to help them navigate the path to stable housing.

The program operates in Upper Pinellas County (North of Ulmerton Rd.) and is made possible by the generous donation of a van from Alfred and Debbie Andrews. As true community philanthropic leaders, Alfred and Debbie are passionate about addressing the plight of street homelessness and have significantly contributed to the program's success.

The program's holistic approach aims to not only meet immediate needs but also to empower individuals to achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
